Personal Information

South Sudanese conflict separates Rebecca Legge and her parents whose where about remained undiscovered. She lives in unjust difficulty in Bweya ghetto, in the outskirt of Kampala, Uganda. She is an outstanding school-girl with marvellous potential. She needs your love and support, so she can go to boarding school, avoid extreme poverty, and realise her aspirations.

The Dinka-Nuer war left Rebecca, a refugee. After when a conflict in South Sudan separated Rebecca and her two siblings from their parents, her great-aunt took in Rebecca, her two siblings, her family and fled to Uganda. Her great-aunt, reasonably, an educated does odd jobs and makes little income which is not adequate to meet her household’s necessities. Her great-aunt cannot bear to pay school fees for all of her children who are not in school, let alone Rebecca, her brother and a sister.  In Uganda, parents or guardians must pay school fees to fund school buildings, books, writing materials, school meals, and uniforms.

Rebecca is a good student and needs your assistance, so she can go to boarding school to escape a lifetime cycle of poverty. She was, recently, suspended from her former school due to unpaid fees and will fall behind if she does not return to school soon. Your monthly support will pay her school fees; provide her with food, clothes, and medical care; and prevent her from having to work odd jobs during school hours to help support her great-aunt’s family.

By sponsoring a refugee child, you will join more than 3000 donors who believe children should be released from poverty in Education. Start your sponsorship story today by sending this child to school now!
