Personal Information

Jimmy Korok is the first born to a family of four. His exile parents are sick to pay for a balanced diet food for their children, let alone school fee. Jimmy’s slender body is revealing a sign of malnutrition in children. Please sponsor him so that he can go to boarding school, have regular nutritious meals, and escape a lifetime cycle of poverty.

Jimmy’s parents fled South Sudan in 2013 during the start of the civil war and settled in Bweyele refugee camps. In 2015, they moved to Bulonde a slum, in an outskirt of Kampala, Uganda, to look greater possibilities. His parents roamed from place to place around begging for employment, but it is nearly impossible for uneducated refugees to find suitable work.

Jimmy’s father does odd jobs to get by, and his mother does local breweries. The four children are malnourished and do not attend school because Jimmy’s parents do not have the money to pay the school fees. In Uganda, parents or guardians must pay school fees to fund school buildings, books, writing materials, school meals, and uniforms.

Jimmy needs your love and support, so he can go to boarding school, have regular nutritious meals, and escape a lifetime cycle of poverty. He dreams of becoming a pilot when he finishes his education. His favourite subject is Math and he also enjoys playing football (soccer). Your monthly support will pay his school fees and provide him with nutritious food, clothes, and medical care.

By sponsoring a refugee child, you will join more than 3000 donors who believe children should be released from poverty in Education. Start your sponsorship story today by sending this child to school now!
